New Delhi: After the horrific terrorist attack on April 22 in Pahalgam, the tension between India and Pakistan has once again reached the peak. Meanwhile, last night, the Pakistan Army opened fire at the Indian posts located in front of Kupwara and Poonch districts of Jammu and Kashmir without any provocation. The Indian Army also took strict action by giving a befitting reply to Pakistani nefarious antics.
The campaign against terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir has been intensified since the Pahalgam attack. Security forces have launched a search operation in hills and dense areas. Several possible locations are being raided. The army clearly says that now the terrorists will not be spared and every attack will get a strict answer.
The country's Chief of Defense Staff (CDS) General Anil Chauhan met Defense Minister Rajnath Singh in Delhi on 27 April. In this meeting, the steps taken after the Pahalgam attack and further military strategy were discussed. According to sources, the army has been instructed to be fully prepared on the border so that any challenge can be answered immediately.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday addressed the terrorists while addressing the countrymen at the 'Mann Ki Baat' program. He said that the culprits of Pahalgam attack will be punished the most punishment and providing justice to the families of the martyrs is the highest priority of their government. The Prime Minister also said that Kashmir has seen unprecedented development in recent years and now the enemy forces are trying to spoil the peace and prosperity there.
On 22 April, 26 innocent people lost their lives in the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, mostly tourists. This attack is considered to be the biggest terrorist attack since the removal of Article 370 in 2019. After the attack, there has been a wave of resentment across the country and now the government is seen in the mood of decisive action against terror on every front.
